► The Features of MacOS Sonoma
iPhone Widgets on Mac
With MacOS Sonoma, users can add widgets to the home page of Mac computers. Interestingly, users can use the "Continuity" feature to import a row of widgets on the iPhone directly to the user's laptop. When in Stage Manager mode, the widget will automatically change to be more transparent, so that the user can focus on the application window that is open.
Video Calling
MacOS Sonoma enhances the user experience when making video calls or video conferencing. One of them is through a new feature, namely Presenter Overlay. As the name suggests, this feature allows the user's figure to be displayed as if he were in front of the presentation material. MacOS Sonoma also provides screen sharing options when making video calls, such as "share on zoom", share in full screen mode, or share in split screen mode.
Private mode browsing in Safari
This new Mac operating system also presents a safer browsing mode on the internet, namely "private browsing". This mode allows users to lock internet browser pages with face scanning, block trackers, and remove URL trackers.
Game Mode
MacOS Sonoma includes a "Game Mode", which optimizes the performance of the computer's hardware by allocating maximum CPU and GPU resources to the game being played.
PlayStation and Xbox controllers are also promised to have faster response times because they use a Bluetooth connection that is twice as fast.
AutoFill for PDF documents
Users can fill out PDF forms that are more practical and faster thanks to the autofill or autofill feature. Later, the autofill feature will use user information stored on the device to complete documents.
More Accurate Autocorrect
MacOS Sonoma brings enhanced word correction or autocorrect features. Autocorrected words will be underlined temporarily. So that the user knows what word has been changed. User can cancel autocorrect and switch to original word with one click.
Slow-mo Screensavers
MacOS Sonoma comes with a new slow-motion screen saver that displays beautiful views from around the world. This scenery image becomes the desktop background at login.
Call up Siri in a New Way
Now, Mac computer users simply say "Siri" to give voice commands. So, users no longer need to add the word "Hey" to give voice commands to Apple's virtual assistant. To make things even easier, users can now give back-to-back Siri commands without having to say "Siri" every time to provide a new input.
Accessibility Features
For accessibility, MacOS Sonoma brings Personal Voice. This feature can help users with speech impairments create voices that sound like them. Then, users can use it for Live Speech in FaceTime calls and live conversations.
See Recipes from Food Photos
Another interesting feature is Visual Look Up. This feature allows users to find food recipes that are similar to food photos in the photo gallery.
A New Experience of Listening to Music
Users can invite friends to compile a playlist together, starting from adding, reordering and deleting songs. In Now Playing, users can also provide emojis as reactions to song choices from friends. This feature will be present at the end of this year.
